Today is the day I said goodbye. One of the hardest things I have ever done. Where ever you are, I hope the snow fall is eternal, the chew bones endless and the rabbits you chase tasty. We had our share of disagreements, but in the end I believe you were still a good dog. Your memory will live on, and we will be reminded of you everytime we come home and there is no one to greet us. Farewell.

In between guests at the house this weekend, we had a chance to go visit the Illinois Railway Museum. A dream come true for Erik (and me I suppose too ). Too bad we didn’t get to spend more time there, as we only saw a small portion. Man those steamers are HUGE! We had enough time for a ride on the Nebraska Zephyr and then wandered into the Steam engine barn. Pretty neat to see the real thing. Next time we’ll visit a bit longer and hopefully get to see some Steam engines puffing along, I’m sure Erik will get a kick out of that.Check out these photos.
