One benefit I suppose of having to clean up the basement and reorganize all this stuff is that going through some of the boxes of my old toys is breathing new life into them. For Erik its like Christmas in September, each new box that is opened must immediately be rifled through and promptly played with. He must have spent at least 40 minutes in the garage having a grand ole time driving around my old Matchbox and other assorted lead painted cars.
When he laid eyes on this box stuffed with my old Legos it was like the second coming of Christ for him. “OHHHHHHHH! A TOY! DADDY WHATS THIS?” So, since I don’t seem to be playing with them much anymore I gave them to him. Tonight we built a little house together where the local Lego contingent of Astronauts have moved in, taking off their helmets of course to sleep. Ya know its funny I felt a bit torn about letting him have my Legos. Dude, I’m 34!
P.S. Don’t tell Dennis he might want to play with them too…mooching weasel.
